Real Prompt Reel

Full Archive of Shared Prompts

This is the full prompt archive for the Real Prompt Reel series — a running collection of real AI prompts I’ve actually used, organized by topic, and shared on social media.

My goal with these reels is to both show you WHAT you can use AI for and HOW to prompt effectively.

None of these are polished one-shot examples. Most required back and forth, clarification, and follow-up questions: how most good AI conversations actually work.

Prompts are added with each new reel. Browse by topic, steal what’s useful, and make them your own.

Note: None of these were one-shot prompts. They were all followed by back and forth and clarification. That’s a normal part of working with LLMs (my favorite for this type of prompt is Gemini).

  • Task Manager App
Starting Prompt: I’m always on the hunt for a task/to-do list app. I like Tweek and Superlist, but I’m wondering what other apps might be similar. A few requirements and preferences: – Be able to capture ideas from a today page or inbox
and have a method for categorizing them. – Mobile and desktop friendly (sync between devices) – Add various labels and tags to todos – Manually move todos around from list to list – Bright and simple interface – (Nice to have) iPhone widget
  • Purse
Starting Prompt: I’m looking for a medium sized purse, not too expensive, with enough “body” that it stands up open on its own. I prefer vegan materials.
  • Used Camera
Starting Prompt: I am considering buying a used camera — DSLR or mirrorless — for family portraits. But I am confused by all the different numbering systems and camera types. Can you create me a mega list of cameras from the last 15 years with their year of release, approximate market value today, and notable features, pros and cons?
Follow Up: I kind of like the idea of collecting cameras of different brands so I’m open to complementing my Olympus with another camera. I do have a couple of shallow depth of field lenses for the Olympus as well. Are there some cameras you’d recommend to complement it while also being affordable? I’m very willing to scour Facebook Marketplace.
  • Pants
Starting Prompt: I would like your help with some shopping. I am looking for black or dark gray pants, wide leg, material thicker like a khaki, that won’t wrinkle easily, full length (not ankle), machine washable, good for work and travel.
